BLOCKWORK RETAINING WALLS

Blockwork retaining walls are extremely useful to build higher wall heights and often are used on boundaries between properties.

Below are just two of the most common examples. Wall heights up to 2.8m can be achieved with wider blocks and concrete bases.

A. BASE UNDER BACKFILL
Useful type of construction for conditions where ground levels require raising such as on boundaries of properties.  The base width is approximately 20% less than example B.
